Grand Hotel Oriente

We had the most wonderful stay in Napels for our anniversary thanks to the amazing assistance of Michele. He made sure our stay was absolutely unforgettable! The location of the hotel is superb and the friendliness of the staff heartwarming. The cleaning ladies made sure our room was a little palace every day again. The restaurant at the top floor was a treat to have our breakfast at. Thank you Michele, Oriana and all other staff for this wonderful stay. We will for sure be back!

The restaurant staff were fantastic very kind, friendly, and welcoming. Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety and top-quality ingredients. The coffee was made individually and tasted amazing truly authentic Italian style. :) I’m not sure why the restaurant was almost empty during our entire stay because the food was delicious and of high quality. Plus, it’s a peaceful escape from the busy streets of Naples, with a lovely view from the rooftop restaurant. The hotel itself is beautiful and right in the heart of Naples. The design of the lobby, restaurant, and rooms is stylish and inviting. Our bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and modern, with a nice shower. Everything was new and spotless. There were plenty of power outlets, and I especially appreciated that USB-C ports were available everywhere, so no adapter was needed if all hotels did this, travel would be so much easier! :) The location is excellent right in the center and very close to the metro station. We needed to leave early, and the hotel kindly allowed us a free late check-out. Check-in was also flexible, at 12:00 pm (midday), since we arrived earlier than usual. Unfortunately, I don’t know their names, but the young man with longer hair and the two female colleagues were amazing and really made our day better. Thank you again for a wonderful stay and especially for the amazing restaurant staff. I’d gladly return if I visit Naples again. :)

Chose this hotel as we were using Naples as our base and also because of its location, 12 minute walk to the ferry and cruise liner port, 100 metres to the underground network (Toledo) just off the main shopping street. Hotel room was spotlessly clean, breakfast was the usual buffet style with a very good choice to cater for all tastes, which was on the top floor with an outdoor terrace with a great view of Naples, the bar is also on this floor and also shares the same terrace. We did not use the restaurant for dinner as there are so many great restaurants around the area at very reasonable prices, but did take a look at the menu and it seemed a good choice.

We booked this at the last minute as our travel plans changed. The staff were lovely and provided us a bottle of champagne on arrival for celebrating our honeymoon. The hotel is in a great location, pretty much walking distance to most main areas. The room was large which was great, however the bathroom was outdated and in need of a refresh. The shower drain didn’t drain quick enough so water filled the shower straight away and didn’t drain until after you turned it off. Breakfast is ok, not many options but manageable. Overall, a good 2 night stay and I would stay again.

Excellent location next to the Toledo metro statio, close to the Centro Storico, and walking distance to the port. The breakfast was absolutely outstanding. The staff in the hotel was very friendly, and way out of its way to accommodate any request. They also allowed us to check in early, around 11am, which was highly appreciated. The room had also simple tea-making facilities, which was highly appreciated (though the instant coffee might get them into an italian coffee purgatory).
